CHEROKEE STUDIOS Case Study:

The Lofts @ Cherokee Studios is as unique as its historic namesake sound studio that was dubbed “the best sound studio in America” by  Beatles’ producer, George Martin. The sound studio closed in 2007 to make way to be transformed and today features 12 live/work lofts and 3 commercial condominiums. In its studio heyday it churned out over 300 gold and platinum records. Today, the Lofts@Cherokee Studios is the first LEED Platinum certified mixed-use development and was also a top ten winner of a 2011 AIA/COTE award.

THIRD CREEK ELEMENTARY Case Study:

THIRD CREEK ELEMENTARY

This elementary school, located in Statesville, NC, was the nation’s first LEED Gold Certification K-12 Educational Facility. GreenFiber Cellulose Insulation in the walls and ceiling, contributed more than just thermal efficiency and energy savings. GreenFiber’s material, with an SCS Certified 85% recycled content, clearly helped achieve a high weighted average of building materials recycled content.

TERRA NUMA SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE

This residence, a National Green Building Standard Silver level and Energy Star single family home, used a skim coat of closed cell foam, with a GreenFiber Cellulose Insulation layer on top in both the attics and walls. The resulting HERS rating is 59.

12TH AND RIVER MERCY HOUSING DEVELOPMENT Case Study:

12TH AND RIVER MERCY HOUSING DEVELOPMENT

Scheduled for completion during the Summer of 2012, this LEED Platinum Multi-Family development, located in Boise, Idaho, incorporates GreenFiber’s INS735 in a UL Fire-Resistance Rated floor assembly, M512. It also uses the product in the exterior walls. The project establishes a new standard for high STC/IIC performance in a LEED application.
