Product Certifications

Underwriters Laboratories Environment (ULE)
ULE Certifies all of GreenFiber's products contain a minimum of 85% recycled content. GreenFiber insulation contains a mix of pre- and post consumer recycled materials. 39% Post minimum consumer material. 

Pre-Consumer Material Pre-consumer material is often defined as material that has been diverted from the waste stream during a manufacturing process. Materials generated in a process and capable of being reclaimed within the same process (such as rework, regrind or scrap) are excluded.

Post-Consumer Material Post-consumer material is generated by households or by commercial, industrial and institutional facilities in their role as end-users of a product that can no longer be used for its intended purpose.

Declare Certified
 Declare is a certification mark related to the potential hazards of product ingredients. As with recycled content certification, GreenFiber is proud to be the first cellulose manufacturer to be Declare certified.

Underwriters Laboratories (UL)
UL Verification Services provides customized performance and verification testing of products based on defined parameters and specifications. These tests provide our customers with confidence in the quality and reliability of our products. All of GreenFiber's U.S. and Canadian building products are UL classified.

UL Evaluation Report

The UL Evaluation Report certifies that all of GreenFiber's thermal insulation and Fire Rated Material (FRM) products meet the many regulatory, code and other requirements of the products. The Evaluation Report also provides guidance to code authorities, architects, designers, contractors and subcontractors, installers and other built environment influences in determining code compliance for products where:

  • The product is not included in the model installation codes, or
  • The model installation codes do not identify specific and clear requirements for the product, or
  • The model installation codes have multiple requirements for the product not covered by a single standard.

GreenFiber's products can be used in any code jurisdiction in the US.
